:: Egg Hunt

It was a cold, muddy, exciting, kid-filled egg hunt - so much fun! (Most) of the snow had just melted, so it made for a muddy hunt. In my opinion, that just adds to the adventure. The grandkids were so excited to grab their pails and run around the yard in search of an egg of their color (the kids had to find eggs that were in their unique, designated color - makes it much less complicated!). I'm pretty sure the adults enjoyed the hunt almost as much as the kids did: they're so much fun to watch! This is a worthy tradition I hope our family keeps for years to come.

The picture at the end I consider to be the "blooper" of the bunch. Enjoy them!

Looking ahead,

:: Aiden

This little guy has personality. He must've known these were his one-year pictures, because he did so well! He smiled and clapped almost the entire time, it was great. His parents were behind me, entertaining him; Aiden definitely felt much more comfortable and willing to smile in his own home, and we were able to incorporate his favorite activity, stair-climbing, into the shoot as well! It was amazing how fast it took to complete the shoot - it was one of those situations where you feel like it should take a little more time or be more drawn out, and then you realize it was just that simple.
Aiden is my nephew, which made the privilege of photographing him that much greater!

Enjoy these images & let me know what you think.
Looking Ahead,

:: Megan - Doula Lifestyle Shoot

Yes, I am blogging about a shoot I did in January! It's high time I tell you all about the wonderful time I had photographing Megan with The Greatest Gift doula services - She's a Doula, a Birth Coach, a Caretaker. Megan's role as a Doula is to help expectant Mothers through their delivery process and she has a passion for her work and a deep desire to effectively help others. That certainly was apparent as we discussed what was important to her for the shoot. As I photographed her, the themes of natural care and warmth were present; it was a great experience!

These are some images from the shoot - enjoy them!
